Yipp Films has successfully devised and produced award winning television drama and short film. In film it is developing several feature projects – European co-productions that are possible through the international short film project, The Tyne Tallinn Digital Film Challenge and its follow up Time For Bed.

Olympic Hero, Greg Rutherford Snaps! (2012)

In brief: Away from the sand pit, Olympian Greg Rutherford shows his talent as a comic actor in a mockumentary launching his Localgiving.com ambassadorship. Patrick directed Greg, who took gold in the Long Jump event on Super Saturday at London 2012, in this spoof which sends up the dark side of celebrity. The Orange North Star Short Film Award - now closed

In brief: The Orange North Star Short Film Award is the best-resourced short film production prize in the UK. The winner of the Orange North Star Short Film Award 2006 will be assisted professionally and financially to make a short film to be shot either on film or digital and with a budget of £40,000 in financial support and donated professional services. The Short Film Award is now closed to applications, however you can still read about it and make a note to enter next year!

Time For Bed (2004)

In brief: During the second international Northern Lights Film Festival, Yipp Films produced six short innovative films made by six teams of directors, actors, cinematographers, and editors from across Northern Europe. Tyne Tallinn Digital Film Challenge (2003)

In brief: The Tyne Tallinn Digital Film Challenge has a perfectly simple idea at it’s core - three English directors armed with scripts traveled to Tallinn, Estonia in August 2003 and, in the space of twelve days made three short digital drama films.
